PromZ Event
A feast for the eyes and culinary treats

NL – As reliable as clockwork, the Dutch exhibition organiser from Het Portaal Uitgevers (HPU) also delivered a perfectly organised show again this year: The PromZ Event from April 13-15, 2010 at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht was not only once more a feast for the eyes, but also a lively meeting place for everyone involved in the promotional products, incentives, customer bonding, POS design or event marketing sectors. The exhibitors were predominantly promotional products distributors and marketing agencies. In terms of the visitor target group, the PromZ Event addresses marketing decision makers and users. In spite of numerous uniform stands the overall optical appearance of the show was attractively designed; elegant charcoal and black, highlighted with orange and purple, dominated the scene. After a rather quiet first day, the exhibitors were mostly satisfied with the response on the second and third days. Measured in terms of hard figures it was hardly noticeable from the overall picture that the PromZ Event had declined compared to the previous year: 164 exhibitors (instead of 187 in 2009) presented their products and services, around 6,000 visitors (in 2009 the attendance figure was almost 7,000) visited Utrecht. Two special exhibitions were integrated into the show’s layout: A “Green Pavilion“ for the suppliers of ecological or ethically, sustainably manufactured products occupied a large area in the rear part of the hall and in the “Experience Pavilion“ agencies sought dialogues with customers, who specialise in events and experience incentives. The product groups culinary, table culture and living accessories were strongly represented (in the Netherlands these are popular ingredients of the so-called Kerstpakketten, which are traditionally sent to employees, business partners and customers at Christmas), but also World Cup products (naturally in the striking orange colours of the Dutch national team) were found all over the show this year. Two further promotional products shows are scheduled this year in the Netherlands: the ProPSI from August 25-27, in Amsterdam (target group: promotional products distributors) and the Relatiez in Utrecht from September 8-9, which specialises on the Christmas business (target group: end users).
