There were trophies, champagne and above all lots of applause at the Promotion World in Hanover for this year’s winners of the Promotional Gift Award. Since in the meantime it has become tradition that they are presented with their trophies in an award ceremony on the second day of the international trade fair for promotional products and incentives. 30 of the overall 36 companies, who won a Promotional Gift Award in 2010, had travelled to Hanover personally to take part in the award ceremony held in the “promotion in motion“ Forum in Hall 18. In total 39 products were distinguished with a Promotional Gift Award 2010 in various categories, three companies received the coveted award for two different products submitted (all winners are listed online under www.promotionaward.com). The Promotional Gift Award is a communication prize that is specifically designed to pay tribute to particularly successful promotional products, which is organised annually by WA Publishing in Cologne. The aim of the award is to filter out especially effective, original and exceptional promotional products on a market that is flooded with products. Here an independent jury comprising of five competent experts assess criteria such as innovation, design, production quality, individualising possibilities, social or environmentally-friendly aspects as well as the communicative potential of the product. 184 companies from eleven nations had submitted a total of 289 products for entry to the Promotional Gift Award 2010. The winning products were displayed in a special exhibition at the entrance of Hall 18 for the entire duration of the Promotion World.
