?Actually we already wanted to have relocated to our own newly built premises by now,? laughed Marco Evangelisti, CEO of Promotional Project, which is still now resident in leased premises in Savignano sul Rubicone, not far from Cesena. ?We had an unforeseen problem with the electric. However, this has since been solved, so there?s nothing standing in the way of us moving this summer.? Individual departments had already successively transported the office inventory to the new domicile ? including parts of the machinery, because the company disposes of all the necessary customising equipment in-house. Yet, for the sake of the customers production continued, current orders were monitored ? which was not always easy amid the moving stress, however the feat was mastered well by the team of Promotional Project thanks to their personal commitment.The early days
?Everything began one sunny day in April 1984 ? looking back it was a real adventure,? recalled Evangelisti. ?At the time my friend Stefano and I were young salesmen, who wanted to challenge and impress the advertising industry with our creativity, dedication and innovative products. We primarily started off by manufacturing sports bags and offered specific items for travel agencies and promotional products in the strict sense of the term. Our product line-up also included several fashion items.? ?Of course we benefit from the fact that we predominantly started off as a producer and manufacturer in the textile and bag sector and thus have well-founded know-how,? the Import Manager, Laura Trevisani, underlined. ?We assert this manufacturing competence today in the interests of our customers. As specialists for custom-made products i.e. in the bag and textile sector we enjoy decades of experience and have a solid knowledge of the entire manufacturing process. We know what can be done how ? and what not.? Nowadays, Promotional Project is a promotional products distributor with its own division for all kinds of customising techniques and its focus lies on custom-made designs. At the same time of course the company keeps stocks of a wide assortment of standard articles at its warehouse that spans approx. 3,000 m? at the new premises, which can be dispatched immediately. ?It was a long road before we managed to reach our present corporate structure ? we place high importance on flexibility, originality and customer satisfaction,? explained Evangelisti. ?In 1990 Davide Papi, today our Deputy CEO, and Ivan Bombardi, our present controller, joined the company. It was also the year a new company, the fashion specialist Daiva, was born. Promotional Project then quickly built up a larger base of clients and we took over a leading role on the promotional products market. In 1991 Michele Biondi joined the team of Promotional Project as one of the associates and has since been taking care of the development and innovation of productive processes. We closed our original office in Cesena in 1995, when Stema ? another company which had been independent hitherto ? and Daiva were incorporated into Promotional Project and moved into our new premises in Savignano sul Rubicone, which has a surface area of around 1,000 m?. And now we are just about to move again ? because we have outgrown our present location. The new premises will enable us to optimize our work processes and will allow us much more flexibility.?
